Good evening to the house at large,
The proposition is continuously stressing upon the fact that religious leaders can be biased towards a particular government but I believe that they are wise, intelligent and experienced beings who can assist the society in terms of politics. They are also people of the nation and true citizens too and they will never ever try to harm society for their own benefits.. I would like to remind the panel that these are the people who have helped the public in several aspects. They convert their powers to help the society and invest their time towards the welfare of the community. They have the ability to lead and to contradict. They also want to see their country advance and become developed. How can we take this right away from them ? Several people who are confused in matters of politics seek help from them and they give them basic information and knowledge to give their vote.
The proposition constantly told us that they may be biased and would only think about their own religion. That is not true at all, people that follow them have made a choice and democracy is very important in a republic. These leaders help them to rise above their problems, give them advice and put forth their own opinion and we can’t stop them from spreading their beliefs and if the society thinks that they are being misled, the government should inform them about their right and reason for voting. All religious leaders think about the improvement of society and when they all come together and give their opinions and acts, it creates eternal wisdom because each of them are special in their own particular way .For them, before their religion comes their country and the people. The public gives them so much support, wealth and power and they too believe in giving back to society.
The proposition is talking about people contradicting their beliefs on the opinions of one person but the people of our country are not illiterate, this is 21 st century, an era where these misconceptions are left in the dust and the people compare their beliefs with the ones of whom they follow and decide whose opinion is more superior and can assist the community. India is a country of varied religions and they also have to see how that decision would affect the people of their religion also, they have to look after their welfare and the legacy of their particular religions. These leaders live for the enhancement of their country.
They said that they pollute the minds of the young voters but really, they lead them into they right direction and if they believe that political parties are not living up to their promises, they have the right to stand up and just point out some mistakes and cover up the small loopholes that can amass into grave problems in the future. They do not leave them unnoticed. If the political party tries to oppose a religion , they must stand up for their respective religions and at the end, it is the government’s decision if they want to implement their opinions or not but reasoning can not be diminished.
They say that the religious leaders might stop people from getting blindly influenced by politicians who take religion as their basis. Just think about this, politicians are the ones who make people gullible through religious influence.
Do you not believe that religion and faith are an important factor of the candidate’s merit?
With this question
I am proud to oppose.
I would hereby like to rest my case.
Which one of them should be implemented?
